RP(Qualifying) Registered Psychotherapist
In a time where we feel evermore disconnected from others, it can be difficult to find the support we need to keep moving forward. I hope to provide you with non-judgmental and empathic space to share your story, and to build a connection where you feel seen, heard, and supported. It is my belief that through building these connections, we allow ourselves the space to slow down and reconnect with the thoughts, emotions, and sensations that can so often be put to the side while we focus instead on making it through the day.
My approach within sessions comes from a trauma-informed perspective, with emphasis on mindfulness, self-compassion, ACT, and CBT techniques. In using this integrative approach, I work collaboratively with youth, adults, and couples to look deeper beneath the surface and explore how their actions and behaviours can bring them closer to their mental health goals.
While taking the time to look deeper within ourselves, I feel it is important to acknowledge the skills that have allowed us to make it this far in our journey. It has taken strength to make it to the point where you feel you can reach out for help, a feat that is not easy. I want to acknowledge the work that you have already done, and I would be honoured if you allowed me to continue with you on this journey.
